The Belleville Police Service in Ontario Canada, becomes the first Canadian client for EvidenceWorks®
In partnership with Integrys Ltd, based in Mississaugua, Ontario, Capita Secure Solutions & Services, based in Wiltshire, UK, today announces that Belleville Police Service, Ontario, Canada has awarded a contract for the supply of EvidenceWorks® Interview Recording Solution.
Continuing our work with our partners, Integrys, and to support on-going discussions with a number of Police Forces across Canada we will, once again, be exhibiting at the CACP Conferences in 2018.
First up is the Information, Communication and Technology Committee Workshop in Vancouver 25-28 February.
EvidenceWorks Digital Interview Recording plays its part in helping Avon and Somerset Constabulary combat drugs crime
Capita’s EvidenceWorks interview recorders are installed across the Avon and Somerset Constabulary force and networked to a single repository that records and stores all the force’s interviews. The system also provides the facility to remotely monitor and replay interviews anywhere on the network.
The system has recently been put to use to help the force’s major drugs crime initiative that has featured in a recent BBC series Drugsland - County Lines.
EvidenceWorks, Capita’s enterprise Digital Evidence Management suite, has been selected and approved on G Cloud 9 by the UK Digital Marketplace.
The service is a securely hosted, fully managed, open and scalable purpose built digital evidence management solution for UK Police which includes the capability to ingest, catalogue, store, analyse and share media from multiple digital sources.

In partnership with our colleagues at Integrys the EvidenceWorks team will continue to support the CACP at two of its events this year where delegates will be able to meet the team, discuss our holistic strategy for the management of Digital Evidence and see demos of the solution. Capita Digital Evidence Solutions enters into a new Strategic Partnership in the USA
A new partnership has been agreed for 2017 with the New Jersey State Association of Chiefs of Police (NJSACOP) to work together to evaluate the US market for the EvidenceWorks Digital Evidence Management suite. The partnership will include attendance at the Police Security Expo in Atlantic City in June and further events throughout the year.

The EvidenceWorks® suite will be exhibiting at this year’s annual conference of the Police Superintendents’ Association of England and Wales being held in Warwickshire between 5th and 7th September. Product experts will be on hand to talk through the solution and demonstrate its main features.

For the first time EvidenceWorks will be exhibiting at the Canadian Association of Chiefs of Police (CACP) annual conference. EvidenceWorks, with its holistic approach to the management of digital evidence is gaining interest in Canada and we hope to meet leading figures in policing and introduce them to our solution.

As the cost of repair and maintenance of ageing tape interview recorders increased and the supply and use of tapes dwindled, four police forces in the East Midlands – Derbyshire, Leicestershire, Northamptonshire and Nottinghamshire - contracted Capita to provide a new solution, EvidenceWorks® digital recording devices to be installed in all interview facilities.
Over the past few years there has been aconcerted move in the criminal justice system to remove paperwork and move towards a digital case file. Significant funding streams have been put in place to support these initiatives.
